Campaigning in swing states

I don't get it.

What's blog-post-worthy about that picture?

Is it that Hawaii is a swing state, or that Cheney decided to campaign there, or what?

That Hawaii's a swing state.

Well, apparently lots of elderly Democrats in Hawaii vote, but don't participate in polls; so there's a history of undercounting Democrat votes in polls.

But, I'll be happy to be wrong and have Bush win Hawaii.

Either way, Cheney got a cushy task campaigning there.

Yeah, I'll bet he squeezed in a couple of hours to improve his tan.
